Elucigene CF4v2 is specifically designed for use in cystic fibrosis newborn screening programs. It is developed to meet the requirements of the newborn screening program recently introduced into England and Wales. Elucigene CF4v2 is a fluorescent ARMS assay that detects the four most common CFTR mutations in the UK population.
Elucigene CF4v2
An improved full genotyping assay in a single tube for rapid and simple detection of the four most frequent CFTR mutations in a UK Caucasian population. CF4v2 is optimised for use with DNA extracted from dried bloodstains. Mutations detected by this assay are F508del, G551D, G542X and 621+1G>T.
