BioAnalytical Chemists & Project Managers

Tepnel Research Products & Services is seeking candidates to join its Bio-analytical Service Laboratory based at its custom built facility in Livingston, Scotland.

The laboratory provides a well managed high quality service supported through its experienced and dedicated team of bio-analytical scientists. The Bio-analytical laboratories are GLP accredited and perform method validations and sample analysis in accordance with OECD and FDA guidelines. Tepnel supports toxicological and clinical bio-analysis within the Pharmaceutical Industry with a wide range of customised services.

Role
The positions available require proven experience and knowledge of HPLC and possibly GC chromatography and practical experience of extraction techniques such as protein precipitation, liquid/liquid and solid phase extraction for the isolation and quantification of chemical entities from a range of biological matrices.
Experience of MS tuning, optimisation and LC-MS/MS mass spectrometric detection techniques would offer a distinct advantage as would familiarity with Analyst software and MDS SCIEX API instrumentation. A working Knowledge of GLP would also be advantageous.

Successful candidates will have demonstrated good organisational and time management ability and have a sound knowledge of small molecule analytical chemistry.
Appropriate training will be given to candidates who are able to demonstrate a keen ability to learn and exhibit the ambition and dynamism required for these multi-tasking roles.

The positions offered would suit people with good laboratory skills and good attention to detail. The applicants must also have excellent communication skills as these positions will require interaction with a variety of internal and external customers.
Salary will be negotiable and applicants should possess experience performing a similar role in a CRO or busy analytical laboratory environment.

The successful candidates will possess a recognised degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry or a related subject and possibly a second degree in Analytical Chemistry.
Experience of drug analysis in a supervisory role within a CRO facility would offer a distinct advantage in the application for project manager roles.
